Our Story
Built for human decision.
In a world of infinite output, 7 Versions exists for the one thing AI can't scale: the human decision at the end of it.
How we started
Who is 7 Versions?
7 Versions began at the Leeds School of Business at CU Boulder, where three executive MBA classmates started an AI webinar series for their program and grew it into what is now the school's AI Business Club, running biweekly sessions for classmates, faculty, other student groups, and the Leeds advisory board. Along the way they brought in Jeremiah Contreras, their professor and the Faculty Director of Digital Innovation for Teaching and Learning at Leeds, and Todd Gardiner, an alumnus of the same program who has known Jeremiah for years.
The webinars kept growing. We were showing classmates how we actually used AI in our own organizations, and people kept asking for more. We liked teaching it, we liked implementing it, and we kept finding we were ahead of the curve. So in 2026, after graduation, we made it a firm.
The teaching never stopped. Between us we lead AI transformation in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, drive AI strategy and data governance in academic healthcare, teach AI at a top business school, and carry decades of software, data, and ERP engineering. What we bring to clients is what we brought to those webinars: practical use, taught clearly, implemented well.
The prism
One beam in.
A spectrum out.
Our identity is a prism for a reason. Point one beam of white light at it and you get an ordered spectrum: the same light, separated into parts you can finally tell apart. That is the job. AI produces one overwhelming stream of output; we refract it into a handful of distinct, comparable versions, so a person can weigh the options and decide.
The name
Why “7 Versions.”
One of the most cited papers in the history of psychology found a hard limit: human judgment holds around seven items at a time. AI can generate thousands of options in a second, but how much a person can weigh and decide hasn't changed.
That gap, between infinite output and a single human decision, is where AI projects usually stall. It's also where we do our work. We narrow the noise to the seven versions worth deciding between.
Infinite output. Finite judgment.
Mission
Turn AI into return.
We help organizations convert artificial intelligence into measurable, sustainable return on investment, so their people are empowered, not displaced.
Vision
Rigor you can stand on.
The organizations we serve are distinguished by the stability, compliance, and profitability that come from rigorous, ethical AI implementation.
Values
What we hold to.
Trust is established through technical rigor; the two are inseparable in our work.
We decline further engagement when the work won't serve your genuine interest.
We hold ourselves to the same standard of integrity we expect of our clients.
